I’m posting this because there is a scene in this video of Ingmar Bergman’s ‘Hour of the Wolf’ that I really really really like.  In fact, i really like the whole sequence of scenes here.

if you skip ahead to around minute 5:30, there is a puppet show with an aria from Mozart’s opera ‘The Magic Flute’

I don’t know why they didn’t translate the lyrics here, so here is the translation of that aria:

Tamino: “O eternal night,
when shalt thou pass?
when shall the light find my eyes?”

Taminos Guides: “Soon…soon, fair youth… or never”

Tamino: “Soon you say, or never,
tell me o invisible ones.
Does Pamina still live”

“Pamina… pamina still lives” 

its so beautiful.
